These stages:

• Stage W1 — GLA–POR — Britain Southbound: Roman Frontiers, Castles & Departure

 From Glasgow to England’s south coast via Roman Britain, medieval power centres, and ancestral landscapes.

• Stage W2 — POR–NTE — The Channel Crossing & Normandy Threshold

 Crossing from England to France, absorbing D-Day memory before entering western France.

• Stage W3 — NTE–SCQ — Atlantic Europe & the Pilgrimage Edge

 Through the Bay of Biscay and into Galicia, where Europe thins into pilgrimage and ocean.

• Stage W4 — SCQ–MAD — Iberia from Margin to Core

 From Santiago through Portugal and Andalusia into the Spanish interior.

• Stage W5 — MAD–VCE — Mediterranean Re-Entry & the Italian Arc

 Crossing back into the Mediterranean world, threading Roman, maritime, and Renaissance Europe.

• Stage W6 — VCE–VIE — Sea to Empire

 From the Adriatic to Vienna, re-joining the canonical Grand Tour at its imperial hinge.
